Committee for Russian Economic Freedom
Committee for Russian Economic Freedom (CREF) was founded by the Russian expatriate corporate counsel Pavel Ivlev, executive director of KRES Poliskola, in 2009.
Speaking at a CREF event in New York City in September 2009, Ivlev stated, “Though we commend the US-Russia Business Council for its efforts to promote economic growth and investment in Russia, we worry that their efforts are being undermined by a regime that works against free markets, transparency, sound corporate governance and the rule of law. Having been targeted by the Russian government for my involvement in the YUKOS case and seen both the show trials of my colleagues and heard the complaints of companies like IKEA, I fear that no one is safe doing business in Russia.”
Committee for Russian Economic Freedom is dedicated to free markets, free people and free ideas in Russia.
